Synopsis: 35 YO white male who fell off a roof two weeks ago.


These are the xrays upon presentation.

The volar FCR incision was made next. Care was taken to incise the pronator quadratus about 1 mm into the fibrous tissue radially and distally, to allow secure repair later.

The capsule was torn, so suture was preloaded on the plate, using the K-wire holes:

The plate was placed, in order to support the dorsal fragment more robustly. The sutures were used to repair the capsule.

The plate was covered with the pronator quadratus, using the fibrous margin on the muscle to allow a secure repair:
