Joy C. MacDermid, BScPT, PhD is an Associate professor at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. She has been a keynote speaker at many hand rehabilitation seminars. She has extensive therapeutic skills and speaks regarding the following topics:
Diego Fernandez, MD, PD was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires. Dr. Fernandez has served as chief of the Hand Surgery Department at the University of Berne, and as chief of the Trauma Department at Kantons Hospital Aarau, Switzerland. He is currently in private orthopedic practice at Lindenhof Hospital in Berne, Switzerland. Dr. Fernandez is also an active member of numerous international and U.S. professional surgery societies.
Jesse Jupiter, MD received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He has been a professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School since 1998 and Director, Orthopaedic Hand Service, at Massachusetts General Hospital, since 1995. Dr. Jupiter has been an active member of numerous professional surgery societies. He serves as associate editor on Journal of Reconstructive Microsur;gery, Journal of Orthopaedic Techniques and Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma.
Jorge Orbay, MD is a practicing hand surgeon in Miami, Florida, and the originator of the volar approach to the dorsally unstable distal radius fracture, which has revolutionized our approach to this fracture. He has authored numberous articles on the topic and has lectured internationally on his techniques.
